Caribbean Airlines new baggage allowance

UK to Trinidad and Guyana with Caribbean Airlines.

In line with many other airlines, Caribbean Airlines have announced their intention to reduce their baggage allowance from two pieces to one at 23Kg and hand baggage will be a maximum of 7Kg.

This will not affect anybody booking by the 31st of January 15.

This will not affect anybody travelling from now and 14th of April 15 regardless of when booked.

This will affect anyone who books on or after the 1st of February 15 and travels 15th of April onwards.

Those wishing to carry a second piece will have to pay £50, and those wishing to carry a third will pay another £50.

This will bring Caribbean Airlines system wide international flights into one single baggage policy which it seems is desirable.

Caribbean Airlines have a lot of competition from much larger carriers and need to implement these changes to stay competitive, some of the competition make charge for all checked in luggage.

Caribbean Airlines still offer hot meals

  • FREE seat-selection
  • 32” seat pitch in economy
  • FREE headsets for movies and audio
  • and a full service business class on all its jet aircraft

As a special feature for the Carnival season, Caribbean Airlines will be launching a complimentary mixed rum cocktail for each passenger, with its partners El Dorado Rum and Nestle Orchard juices, on all its longer flights.
