Waterfront Suite
The Waterfront Suites offer stunning panoramic sea views to enjoy at your leisure. All suites are air-conditioned, single-story junior suites, all with private verandas offering beautiful views through sliding-glass doors. The rooms accommodate up to four guests, with a king-size bed and queen sleeper sofa. Convenient exterior connecting doors between adjoining units make it easy for family and friends to stay together at Verandah.
Waterview Suite
With amazing views of our lush gardens and a partial view of the sea, the Waterview Suites are air-conditioned, single-story junior suites, all with private verandas offering beautiful views through sliding-glass doors. A comfortably appointed floor plan with combined living and sleeping area accommodates up to four guests, with a king-size bed and queen sleeper sofa. Also suited with exterior connecting doors between adjoining units making it easy for family and friends to stay together at Verandah.
The Verandah Resort & Spa has four restaurants and a beach grill on the resort property. Additionally, a total of four bars keep the Verandah guests cool with a wide range of signature cocktails, top-shelf liquor, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages by the glass.
Rasta Bar
Guests can get into the island spirit at the beachside Rasta Bar, a funky little shack just off the main lobby building.
Pool Bar
Guests who don’t wish to stray far from the pool can cool off at the Pool Bar. The expansive and centrally located main lounge also overlooks the pool and winding, limestone-walled pathways of the Common and by night, lively international-style music and entertainment will keep the fun flowing and your toes tapping after dark.
Seabreeze
This is the resort’s main restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It offers a wide range of choices that are sure to please guests of all ages. Seabreeze offers buffet-style dining seven days a week with internationally themed evenings.
The bar offers a variety of wines, beer and
cocktails during meal times.
Nicole’s
Considered the hotels’ ‘fine’ restaurant, offers a blend of elegantly presented, modern French and Italian cuisine in an air-conditioned setting. For a $40 (USD) per person surcharge, guests can celebrate a special occasion or have a romantic private dinner. Dinner reservations are required.
The Buccaneer
An a la carte dining restaurant, serves Caribbean-inspired, family-friendly fare. Dinner reservations are required.
The Beach Bar & Grill
Perched above the Water sports Beach offering spectacular views of the bay along with light lunches, snacks, beer and alcoholic cocktails. An evening grill menu is served as well. Dinner reservations are required.
Wadadli Snack Shack
Situated directly on Rasta Beach and adjacent to the Rasta Bar. It’s the newest casual culinary offering. Guess can enjoy a variety of grilled snacks while relaxing on the beach with views of the turquoise cove. Open from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Swimsuits are welcome.
The Common
A lounge area adjacent to the main pool. Here, guests can enjoy refreshments during the day and evenings as well as live entertainment on select nights, ranging from fire-limbo dancers and steel drums to a variety of live music.
The Beach Bar
Perched just above the Water sports Beach, opens daily at 10:00 a.m. and serves up your favourite tropical cocktails all day long.
Guests can sunbathe on the resorts recently expanded two white sand beaches, play tennis, exercise in the fitness centre or swim in any of the 3 pools. Other activities include weekly aqua-aerobics, a variety of fitness classes, Caribbean cooking classes, nature walks, beach volleyball, and other beach games. Non-motorized water sports include windsurfing, Hobie Cat sailing, snorkelling, pedal boats, stand up paddle boarding, water hammocks and kayaking, which are ideal activities in the resort’s calm, reef-sheltered waters.
Guests can take the short walk to neighbouring Devil’s Bridge National Park to visit the landmark rock arch jutting out over the sea. A visit to the capital town of St. John’s, only 30 minutes from the resort, can be arranged for sightseeing, shopping and dining. All excursions can be coordinated by Guest Services.
A recently resurfaced, tropical 18-hole mini-golf course, set amidst waterfalls, ponds and local landscaping, is a real treat for all guests.
In addition, families and teens can have fun playing a game of pool or ping pong in the adjacent covered Games Pavilion. For a special memento of their trip, guests can purchase a beautiful piece of jewellery at the recently opened Colombian EmeraldsTM.
Kid-friendly amenities include the adult-supervised Kidz Club, which is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for potty-trained children ages 2 to 12. The Kidz Club includes a fenced-in, outdoor play area, an integrated playhouse and a sheltered back porch and splash pool.
Older children over age 8 can enjoy fun activities such as sailing, kayaking and paddle boats as well as guided nature walks and swimming. Counsellors lead organized beach games, arts and crafts and other age-appropriate activities.
Babysitting services are also provided at the resort for an additional charge. Guests are advised to give staff a 24-hour notice prior to using the babysitting service. There is a minimum babysitting time of two hours.
